Next Career Lab:  Saturday, June 1, 2019, 10am to 5pm in San Francisco

This single day bootcamp for women and non-binary individuals will increase and polish your communication and leadership skills, build your self-awareness and emotional intelligence, and give you a competitive edge in your career while maintaining your authentic self. You’ll be working with an intimate group of other emerging leaders and three established coaches. Bonus: you’ll add some fabulous new women to your network!

This workshop series isn’t for everyone; we’re looking for those individuals who are ready to step up and establish an impactful example for others to follow:

  • Individual contributors who are forging a path into leadership

  • New or mid-level managers seeking to grow their emotional intelligence and take their career to a new level

  • Anyone who feels stuck or is seeking mobility in their professional path

Everyone has the potential to be a leader, but how you lead is an individual path and we get that. We have a combined 30 years of experience in the fields of career development, coaching and public presence for you to lean into.

You’ll learn:

  • How to identify when you’re your best professional self, and how to replicate those situations by identifying when you’re energized and what your strengths are.

  • How to leverage your formative career experiences and speak to your career accomplishments in order to gain that first foothold into management.

  • How to find your true voice, relaxing into the energy that makes you a standout. Whether you find difficulties in daily standups, running into your boss in the hallway, or getting tongue-tied in a conference session - we’ll teach you both instant techniques and long-term methods to serve you in your current career and beyond.

  • How to translate emotional intelligence into practice as a leader, and how to build relationships with an awareness of workplace politics while being your authentic self.

Lunch and a take home goodie bag will be provided. At the conclusion of the workshop, each attendee will have the opportunity to register for a complimentary half hour-long coaching session to translate what you’ve learned into building your thought leadership and personal brand. (The coaching session must be used within three months of the workshop.)

Investing in yourself is one of the best self-care moves you can make for your future wellness.

We also happily work with our attendees to empower them to access their own company developmental funds. Feel free to contact Wendy directly ( for guidance, or read this insightful blogpost from The Muse for some words of wisdom on taking the initiative to ask if there is educational budget available for you.

Class size is limited, so register soon!

About Your Hosts:

Wendy Saccuzzo is a career coach and counselor with expertise in technical recruiting, diversity strategy, and coding schools & bootcamps.  She’s made it her personal mission to help as many underrepresented people as possible get the careers and the compensation they deserve.  She specializes in working with women in career transition, whether that means breaking into a new industry or developing leadership skills to take their careers to the next level.  Her previous career experience includes tech sales and customer success, real estate, non-profits, and higher education.

Alexis Wong is a San Francisco Native with over 12 years of professional, conservatory voice and acting training. She has appeared on stage with Contra Costa Civic Theatre, Ashby Stage, Douglas Morrison Theatre, Altarena Theater and Ray of Light Theatre where she also served on the Executive Team for 10 years as producer and finance manager.  Alexis studied theatre direction with M. Graham Smith at Berkeley Rep. A proud California Golden Bear, she received her BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley, has worked in digital ad tech with Twitch and Rotten Tomatoes/WB and is currently a Public Presence Instructor with Women Talk Design.

Hannah Knapp has seen every stage of a start-up life cycle, from the inside. The only non-engineer (and non-male) on the early team of her first tech startup, during her 8 years there she simultaneously developed herself, her career, and the people around her. She was focused exclusively on PeopleOps for the final 3 years, seeing the company through many transitions, including acquisition by a public company and the founders' departure. During that time, she developed a deep passion for building great company culture, which she took to the next level in 2014, when she cofounded InnerSpace, a non-profit that helps early stage startup founders build happy, purposeful and effective teams. She then cofounded WITHIN Meditation, San Francisco's first drop-in meditation studio, where she teaches busy professionals simple, effective mindfulness practices to ease their stress, develop their focus, and create more clarity in their lives.  As a wellness coach, she integrates mindfulness with positive psychology and nutrition to help her clients meet their health goals and develop the inner resilience they need to embrace life's challenges. The mother of two toddlers, she finds that mindfulness and meditation are a lifeline for being the kind of parent, teacher, and entrepreneur she wants to be.
